RUNESTONES - WARRIOR - TYR- The Celestial God
The Rune of the Celestial God is the Rune of the highest masculine values. It speaks of honor, justice, protection of the weak, and above all, truth. It is the Rune of leadership and authority and the wisdom that these require. This Rune counsels one to place the well-being of one's family and people ahead of one's own; the willingness to sacrifice one's self for the good of the people. The way of the warrior is the way of self-perfection. The warrior must understand himself, know his strengths and weaknesses, and put aside his emotions, so that he can be in any situation with rationality and sobriety when he needs to. The ideal warrior or king is able to share the values of each person around them. They understand and defend the needs of children, mothers, and those who walk the spiritual path. The patron of warriors is the God Odin, chief of Valhalla.
